Loni Hoots is an education consultant, a bestselling author, and poet whose work spans children’s literature, poetry, and fiction. Her latest poetry collection, In-Between, continues her exploration of memory, identity, and the spaces we occupy between growth and self-understanding.

Her previous books include The Secrets of Edenfield, Petals and Nails, and If You’re Gonna Be There, alongside eight poetry collections that reflect her introspective and emotionally layered style. She is also the author of children’s titles such as The Little Bird Series and The Misadventures of David: C is for Chickenpoop, where imagination, nature, and early life experiences take center stage.

Across genres, Hoots’ writing blends imaginative storytelling with reflective and, at times, gothic undertones, unified by recurring themes of growth, belonging, and the interplay between wonder and the inner life.
