Never been good at saying goodbye
and I'm still this way,
leaving you in bed still sleeping,
as I slip into the night,
taking all of the shitty baggage,
hoping I hadn't tainted you.
Screaming at myself in my head
wondering why I can't stay,
but I know if I don't you'll never be happy,
so this is my own way of saying goodbye
without uttering a word,
indicating all the reasons why I've never been good.
