Own Time (Poem)

I’ve been searching through the crowds,

hoping that I’ll find a missing piece of me,

but everywhere I look I keep running into dead ends,

yet, I’m still determined.

determined to find the place that’s meant for me,

to find the purpose that continues to call me,

to find the life that is awaiting me on the other side.

It‘s just going to take some time,

and I know this to be true,

I can tell I’m becoming impatient once more,

don‘t get me wrong I know everything happens in its own time,

I’m just hoping it’s around the corner,

and not fifty years down the road.
