Natalie (Poem)

Natalie take me home,

let's walk down the avenues I used to roam,

where the cherry blossom trees grew,

and where you would twirl around in your favorite red dress

as I watched in amazement.

Oh Natalie, what have you been up to lately?

Do you still live life to the fullest,

or are you living it more safely?

Are you still painting,

or have you conformed to society?

Lord knows when I last saw you

but I remember the intimate moments

where I would lay beside you

as you played your guitar in the grass.

Dear Natalie, I'm still stealing glances,

cause your soul is refreshing

and I need to be reminded sometimes

of the life I once lived,

and I'm thankful for that.
