Somewhere (Poem)

I'm somewhere in the midwest
sitting in a little diner
with blurred faces all around,
I'm not looking for anything or anyone,
just trying to find myself
in this slow paced life.
I'm somewhere in this city
where the skyline shines at midnight,
and from this apartment
I can see everyone driving home,
while I watch from the window,
as the night sky is blocked from the city lights.
