The Platform (Poem)

All the leaves have faded

and snow has taken its place,

just like that night

when I said goodbye to your face.

Standing on this platform waiting for the train,

tears start to roll down my cheek

as I recount each mistake,

but I don’t care about them anymore,

I’m done being heartbroken in a place I’m not meant for.

Tonight the train will arrive and I’ll step on,

not looking back

cause there’s something more out there for me,

and I’m going to it.
